In May CORE-6 teamed up with the RailAlliance and shared their ‘sector’ at Railtex trade show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre. This was the first time JBP Ltd have exhibited a rail-orientated exhibition and due to the interest in our CORE-6 range of composites JBP have chosen to join forces again with the RailAlliance by exhibiting at their Rail Live show in June.
This station refurbishment required a new set of dagger-boards to replace the old rotten wood daggers that were past their best.
Middlesbrough Borough Council order came to us through SBV Fabrications ltd in Middlesbrough. This prestigious and high profile project was National Lottery funded. The Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge is one of the North East of England’s most iconic landmarks.
Due to the close proximity of the live third rail on this station, when a security fence was requested it could only be made from one product – non-conductive pultruded profiles.
Core-6 supplied a pre-fabricated 1.8m high a 200m long composite fence which, due to the through-colour pigmentation of GRP profile, will provide Network Rail with a maintenance-free product.
